Nobleman RooT Collection

RooT Collection comes with the concept: Earth Meets Sky
"From the ground to the sky
From heritage to the future
From imagination to reality"
This collection features three main colors: Brown, Blue, and Cream in a 60:30:10 ratio.
The concept was born from my personal preference — I’ve always liked cooler tones. After experimenting with various color combinations, I found this particular palette especially appealing. I decided to use it on one of my favorite cars, the Mazda RX-7.

INTERIOR CRAFTSMANSHIP

The interior of the RooT Collection is designed with a 70% blue tone, which I intentionally chose to be made with Alcantara fabric. This material offers excellent grip while driving — an essential element that truly enhances the overall driving feel.

However, one downside of using Alcantara is maintenance. It absorbs sweat very well, so without proper care, it can wear out or stain easily. That said, there are now plenty of sprays and tools available to help with cleaning, and honestly, the extra effort is well worth the unique feel you get from using it.

As for the steering wheel, I drew inspiration from Formula One race cars, but designed it to resemble the game steering wheels from the 90s–2000s era, aligning with the Mazda RX-7’s identity as a classic sports car.

For the seats, I’ve chosen Recaro bucket seats, which when paired with Alcantara fabric, give you unshakable support through corners — no slipping, guaranteed.

The RooT Collection is fitted with Rotiform VCE wheels.

Personally, I’ve always been a fan of Rotiform, especially because of their globally popular Aerodisc wheel covers. Ever since discovering them, I’ve followed the brand closely.

I tried pairing this collection with many types of wheels in different shapes and colors, but I felt that the VCE model was the most perfect match. It might not be the most popular model in Thailand, but with the right pairing, it’s a wheel that you definitely won’t get bored of. You can even customize the sizes directly through Rotiform.com.

For tires, I’ve chosen NOBLEMAN P1, a sport-patterned tire that’s popular here in Thailand.

Moving on to the suspension, I went with the Öhlins Road & Track Coilovers Suspension Kit for Mazda RX-7. Most people may know Öhlins from motorcycle and big bike suspensions, but the brand also makes high-performance car suspension systems that meet international standards — and it’s a globally trusted name. Definitely one of the top choices when it comes to tuning a car.

As for the brake calipers, I didn’t switch to an aftermarket brand — I kept the OEM calipers and simply upgraded the brake discs instead. I designed the calipers in blue, and the front brake has “Mazda” in brown, which pairs so well that I honestly want to make a set for my own car.

Unfortunately, the wheel model has a narrow opening, so if you’re curious to see the calipers, stay tuned for the upcoming video.

WHEELS & SUSPENSION ENGINEERING
EXTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

The engine of the RooT Collection is known for its distinctive and mesmerizing sound — a characteristic that has captivated countless car enthusiasts. It features the 13B-REW, a legendary rotary engine that is considered a masterpiece in automotive history.

The strengths of this engine lie in its lightweight construction, high-revving but smooth performance, and of course, its signature exhaust note. Additionally, it’s relatively easy to modify and tune, making it a favorite among performance lovers.

However, it does come with its share of downsides. The engine is notoriously thirsty, consuming both engine oil and fuel in large amounts. It also runs hot, especially in the twin-turbo version, so a top-tier cooling system is an absolute must — otherwise, it’s like riding a roller coaster with the temperature gauge.

One of the biggest concerns with this engine is the limited lifespan of its apex seals, which are quite fragile. Without proper maintenance, the engine may need a full rebuild even before hitting 100,000 kilometers. On top of that, skilled rotary mechanics are becoming increasingly rare.

Still, despite all its drawbacks, this engine remains a highly sought-after gem by collectors around the world — because it is, without a doubt, one of the most remarkable engines ever built.
